Dodge Challenger and Jeep Grand Cherokee Win Vehicle Satisfaction Awards

vehicle satisfaction awardsBuyer’s remorseis perhaps one of the worst feelings you can get, especially after making a major purchase like a house or car. But, if you decide to buy a Dodge Challenger or Jeep Grand Cherokee, you may end up feel more satisfied than the average consumer.

Both of these vehicles came away as winners in their respective segments in the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. For this year’s results, AutoPacific surveyed more than 66,000 new car owners who rated their vehicles in 50 different areas that included performance, fuel economy, interior comfort, and more.

“In many cases, an extremely satisfying vehicle is not the car or truck that has the best absolute build quality or the best safety rating,” said George Peterson, president of AutoPacific, in a statement. “VSAs look at the big picture, which includes owners’ experiences with their vehicle’s quality and safety, but also goes deeper into the heart of the ownership experience.”

This is the second time in three years the Dodge Challenger has come away with this award in the Sporty Car segment. This accolade continues to add to the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s ever-growing list of awards. It is the most-awarded SUV ever.

Come check out both award-winning vehicle today at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

Dodge Has to Stop Production of Sold-Out 2015 Hellcat

The 2015 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats are so outrageously powerful, it’s hard to imagine how many people would actually be able to purchase and drive them. And yet – Dodge has asked its dealer network to stop creating them due to overwhelming demand.

Dodge literally cannot produce the Hellcats fast enough for all of the interested consumers to buy one. These vehicles get over 700 horsepower, and yet they’re some of the most popular cars of the year.

According to a company spokesperson, Dodge is “temporarily restricting orders while we validate current orders that are in the system.” As frustrating as this might be for Dodge, it’s got to feel good to have underestimated than to have overestimated.

Bringing Back a Retro-Feature: the Dodge Challenger Shaker

Harkening back to the 70s, Dodge has decided to offer new Challenger Shaker models. These models feature a unique hood scoop that offers a new look, as well as a new feel. This upgrade is just one more reason the Challenger is one of the best muscle cars on the market.

So what exactly does a hood scoop do? According the Dodge, the Shaker scoop increases cold-air induction, upping horsepower. The name comes from the way the model shakes along with the engine (in a good way). The new Dodge Challenger Shaker models come in three basic types: Challenger R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, and first-ever 392 HEMI® Scat Pack Shaker.

“After selling out last year’s Shaker model production in just four days, our hardcore Challenger customers demanded we bring back the Shaker – plus offer more power and more performance,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge and SRT. “We listened, and for 2015, the new Dodge Challenger lineup offers the legendary Shaker hood expanded to include our 485 horsepower HEMI V-8.”

The new Scat Pack racer comes with best-in-class performance thanks to improved equipment. It produces 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque, and it paired with a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission. Not only do these new models look and feel great, they’re also incredibly fast as well.

Jay Leno Auctions Limited Edition Dodge Challenger SRT8

Seeing one of Jay Leno’s cars get auctioned off is never boring. This time Mr. Leno auctioned off his limited edition 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. An avid car collector, Leno put the muscle car up for auction with the proceeds going to the United Service Organization (USO). It sold for a whopping $360,000.

As if that wasn’t enough, generous donators put in an additional $205,000. Every cent is going to the nonprofit organization. “When people know that 100 percent of it is going directly to the men and women of the armed forces, they really step up, and that was fun to see,” Jay Leno said. Leno offered to deliver the car himself until he learned the buyer was from Maine.

The Gooding & Company’s Scottsdale Auction raised a total of $565,000 on Leno’s contribution alone. Last year, Leno put up a restored 1957 Buick Caballero Estate station wagon signed by George W. Bush.

The proceeds on that sale headed to the George W. Bush Military Service Initiative. The first buyer paid $300,000 and immediately donated it back. It raised another $280,000. Leno’s website for cars and collecting is here.

Dodge Models Dominate in J.D. Power APEAL Study

According to the J.D. Power APEAL Study, customers love pretty much everything about the Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Dart models. All three vehicles won the APEAL award in their respective segments, a testament to the brand’s ability to satisfy customers’ needs and deliver their wants.

The study evaluates vehicles’ Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) based on customer responses. Participants evaluate their vehicles after 90 days of ownership and vehicles are scored on a 100-point scale.

The Dodge Charger won for the Large Car segment for the fourth year in a row. The Challenger topped the Sporty Car category for its third time in the past four years; and the Dart scored highest among competitors in the Compact Car class.

“These three APEAL awards, based on customer feedback, are a great way to celebrate Dodge’s 100 year anniversary and Chrysler Group’s commitment to continually deliver exciting, high quality vehicles,” said Doug Betts, Chrysler’s senior vice president of Quality. “A customer’s positive experiences with good quality lead to greater satisfaction, loyalty and the likelihood an owner will recommend their vehicle to friends and family. Personal recommendations are the most powerful type.”

It Doesn’t Get Much Faster Than the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

No, it isn’t a race car, but it sure does know how to act like one. Not only is the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat the most powerful muscle car in the business, it’s also the fastest.

The powerhouse vehicle was clocked by the National Hot Rod Association as completing a quarter-mile run at 125 miles per hour in 11.2 seconds. Measured using drag radials, the time dropped to just 10.8 seconds at 126 mph.

“It wasn’t long ago that a 10-second car, was a full-on race car. The new 2015 Dodge Challenger raises the bar to a level some of us never thought we’d see,” said Tim Kuniskis, president and CEO of the Dodge and SRT Brands. “With the new Challenger SRT Hellcat, we’re reaching deep into our history and bringing back the notion from the muscle car era of the street and strip dual-purpose car. Not only can Challenger run 10s on the drag strip, but you can also fit your family and drive cross country. This new 2015 Dodge Challenger is the ultimate GT muscle car.”

The 2015 Challenger SRT will arrive here at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram later this year. Is your family ready for this kind of racing performance on your next road trip?

Chrysler Picks Up Initial Quality Study Awards

One of the most highly anticipated studies every year is released by J.D. Power. This year’s results of the Initial Quality StudySM are making big news. Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is buzzing just as much as everyone else because we happen to have both Chrysler vehicles on our lot that earned spots on the prestigious list.

The 2014 Dodge Challenger and Chrysler Town & Country achieved the highest ranking in their own segments for initial quality. Chrysler Group couldn’t be happier with the results. “This is the third time in four years that Chrysler Town & Country leads the Minivan segment in this quality survey,” said Doug Betts, Chrysler Group’s senior vice president of Quality. “It reflects the commitment of employees who develop, build and test these vehicles and their recognition that every employee has a role in continually improving the quality of our products.”

New-car owners are surveyed after they’ve owned their vehicle for 90 days. These survey answers (from 233 questions) are then compiled to make up the list of winners. The Town & Country was the highest ranking in the Minivan segment and the Challenger came out on top of the mid-size sporty cars.

While not at the top of their respective segments, the Ram 1500 and Dodge Grand Caravan placed in the top three. If you’re thinking about what high quality vehicle you should purchase next, come down to Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram so we can show you the best vehicles on the market, as voted on by your peers.

Fellow Centenarians Help Dodge Celebrate 100 Years

Over the course of 100 years, a lot can change. Since the number of people who reach the century mark are few and far between, getting a first-hand account of what happened in 1914 is a special treat. As Dodge has found out while preparing for their 100th anniversary, those centenarians always have plenty of advice for the younger generations. Their advice was captured in a video that went viral in an online commercial.

Dodge first showed the commercial the public at the New York International Auto Show. “Wisdom”, was paired with the unveiling of the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger. According to Chrysler Group’s Chief Marketing Officer, Olivier Francois, “This video shows the power of storytelling and human connection at its best”.

After the original premiere of the cutting edge video, people began flocking to the internet to view and the newly available “Director’s Cut”. It only took the video 24 hours to be viewed by a record breaking 4,444,714 people. Since April 16 (the first showing), the internet sensation has been seen nearly 7 million times.

The advice in the video is perfect for any generation, but everyone at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Ram is particularly enamored of “Don’t always do what you’re told”. Sounds like some great advice to us anyway. Olivier Francois chimed in on this too, “There is no other brand that could do ‘Wisdom’ because there’s only one Dodge. It has a DNA that’s just not like the others. And, like the centenarians featured in this video, it’s got 100 years of attitude behind it.”

Attitude is a great way to describe 100 years of greatness.
