All our lives we are told that choices have consequences. And so they do. One 14-year-old’s poor choice to steal his grandfather’s car and go for a joyride through a park full of children could have resulted in dire consequences. But one man also made a choice: to step in and interfere. The consequences? West Valley City, Utah became home to a local hero with a beat up truck.
When Bryson Rowley saw the 14-year-old’s reckless ride endangering the kids playing nearby, he decisively hopped in his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and crashed into the teen’s ride before it could hit anything or anyone else.
When all was said and done, Rowley saved the kids playing in the park, but it came with a $7,500 price tag. That was the estimated cost of repairs for his truck. And seeing as the accident wasn’t so accidental, he had no guarantee his insurance company would cover any of the costs.
That’s when the community pitched in to say thanks for Rowley’s heroic act. One man heard Rowley’s story on the news and knew he had to help. He loaned the hometown hero a rental car and took the beat up truck back to his auto shop. Community members donated parts and labor totaling $15,000. They offered enough to not only repair Rowley’s truck, but to revamp it as well.
Like we at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram said earlier, choices have consequences. We’re so glad Rowley got what he deserved.

One of the most highly anticipated studies every year is released by J.D. Power. This year’s results of the Initial Quality StudySM are making big news. Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is buzzing just as much as everyone else because we happen to have both Chrysler vehicles on our lot that earned spots on the prestigious list.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger and Chrysler Town & Country achieved the highest ranking in their own segments for initial quality. Chrysler Group couldn’t be happier with the results. “This is the third time in four years that Chrysler Town & Country leads the Minivan segment in this quality survey,” said Doug Betts, Chrysler Group’s senior vice president of Quality. “It reflects the commitment of employees who develop, build and test these vehicles and their recognition that every employee has a role in continually improving the quality of our products.”
New-car owners are surveyed after they’ve owned their vehicle for 90 days. These survey answers (from 233 questions) are then compiled to make up the list of winners. The Town & Country was the highest ranking in the Minivan segment and the Challenger came out on top of the mid-size sporty cars.
While not at the top of their respective segments, the Ram 1500 and Dodge Grand Caravan placed in the top three. If you’re thinking about what high quality vehicle you should purchase next, come down to Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram so we can show you the best vehicles on the market, as voted on by your peers.
We’ve been talking about the 2015 Chrysler 200 quite a bit lately, but it’s exciting news, so we’re sure you don’t mind. The latest news with the 200 is that it is being brilliantly highlighted in Chrysler’s new “Born Makers” campaign.
As you’ll remember, two commercials started running earlier this month for the Chrysler 200 that featured Detroit-native actor/singer MoZella and her rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Things Have Changed,” and the faithful employees of Chrysler Group’s Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan.
“‘Born Makers’ reminds us that it’s not just dreaming big ideas but also having the ingenuity and commitment to make them happen. It’s an homage to American innovation, serving as a reminder that you don’t have to cross an ocean for a car you’re proud to have in your driveway,” said Olivier Francois, Chrysler’s chief marketing officer.
Another section of the campaign for the 200 has yet to be released. Chrysler has partnered up with FOX’s “24: Live Another Day” where the Chrysler 200 guest stars in Jack Bauer’s action-packed adventures.
These all sound like perfect ways to highlight an incredible car. If you want to check out the sedan, come see us at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
Employees everywhere are asking for time off so they can go on vacation, or just enjoy a few days at home catching up on things. There are even a couple of us here at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram who are making plans as we speak. Things are a little different at Chrysler Group, where employees are taking time off to do work for outside organizations.
We’re talking about local non-profits, not outsourcing. “As a company, we are committed to making service to others part of our daily mission,” stated Jody Trapasso, Chrysler Group’s senior vice president of External Affairs. “Over the years, we’ve invested more than half a billion dollars in charitable organizations to help build strong communities, while our volunteer activities have impacted millions of lives. Wherever possible, we will put volunteer hours behind our grants to better drive social change.”
Chrysler has created a volunteer program, Motor Citizens, to help make the volunteering process easier for employees. Each worker in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico are allotted 18 hours of paid time off for their volunteer efforts. Employees are not expected to go alone to events, they are encouraged to go in groups so that they can make as big a contribution to their communities as possible.
One group from the Michigan headquarters took advantage of this opportunity to spend a day packaging 70,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now, an organization dedicated to ending hunger around the world. This feeds directly into another statement that Jody Trapasso made, “The Chrysler Motor Citizens volunteer program goes beyond the walls of our offices to help build strong communities both here at home and around the world.”
Hey, any way you can give back to the world, then go for it. If you’re looking to get into volunteering, then check out http://www.volunteerkosciusko.com/ for some opportunities in our area.
Memorial Day is a day when we honor those who have served in the military and those who continue to serve our country. Most people gather their loved ones together for a picnic or some other outing. The Chrysler Group Toledo Assembly plant wanted to do something that would be long lasting and serve as a constant reminder year-round of the sacrifices made by our military men and women every day.
“Like all Americans, we owe our freedom to the sacrifices made by the men and women who serve in the military, but at Jeep, we owe our very existence to our WWII veterans,” said Plant Manager Chuck Padden.
The plant installed a permanent veteran’s memorial to pay tribute to our nation’s heroes. To view the memorial, go to the intersection of I-75 and I-280. This special piece of architecture features a restored 1942 Willys Military Jeep.
Chuck Padden was just one of six veteran to attend the dedication ceremony. Three of those men were World War II veterans who later retired from the Toledo plant. The Jeep holds a special place in the heart of these gentlemen and in veterans’ hearts across the country. “When they returned home from the war, they purchased civilian versions of the Jeep vehicles they learned to depend upon in the war. These heroes became our first Jeep enthusiasts. Without them, we would not be here today,” said Padden.
Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram would like to thank all those who serve and have served in the United States Armed Services. Chrysler’s tribute to veterans also serves as a way for all of us to remember those men and women who have and still do risk their lives for us every day.

The campaign is called Mom’s Day Off and the winner will receive a Town & Country minivan for the day with a personal chauffeur. Not a bad idea, right?
This campaign is being incorporated into the 30th anniversary of the Town & Country that the iconic minivan is currently celebrating. Even though the campaign is called Mom’s Day Off, the contest is actually open to moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, really anyone who takes care of the kids in their family.
“As we mark the 30th anniversary of the minivan, the vehicle that makes the rigors of family life easier, Chrysler brand will give one hardworking and deserving person the day off with the luxury and comfort of a Town & Country and personal chauffeur to run errands, take the kids to soccer practice, or even get pampered for a day at the spa.”

Summer is the time of year that new songs hit the airwaves that make you want to sing along all day long. These songs are often a gift for those of you with a vehicle where you can open the sunroof or put the top down. One of the early summer hit albums right now is XSCAPE by Michael Jackson. Haven’t heard it? Think again. It’s in the latest Jeep commercials.
With their unique partnership with EPIC Records and USA Basketball, Jeep has introduced a new view on summer, as well as Michael Jackson’s posthumously released album, XSCAPE. Jeep is utilizing this partnership to introduce the all-new Altitude Edition as the official vehicle of summer.
Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer for Jeep’s parent company, Chrysler Group LLC, explained the partnership perfectly. “Love Never Felt So Good’ makes you want to dance, to move, to play, to get up off the couch – the same way people feel when they are driving Jeep vehicles. It evokes open-air, fun, freedom – you just can’t help but picture yourself behind the wheel with the unlimited possibilities of summer.”
Jeep’s EPIC Records partnership isn’t the only cool part of the brand’s new summer campaign. Customers are getting the opportunity to participate in a summer photo contest. From May 22 to September 1, participants can post Instagram pictures with the #jeepsummer hashtag for a chance to win a new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Altitude Edition.
If that’s not enough incentive for you to love Jeep this summer, there is one more thing. For every photo posted with #jeepsummer, Jeep will donate $1 to the United Service Organization.
When you come in to Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, you’ll hear why it sounds like summer is off to a great start already.
When you’re family, it means you get to share in the joy of your family members’ successes. Everyone here at Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is thrilled that Chrysler Group has been acknowledged as one of the 25 Most Noteworthy Companies for Diversity. Chrysler Group’s Senior VP of Purchasing & Supplier Quality, Scott Kunselman, said, “Chrysler Group remains as committed as ever to creating a diverse and sustainable supply base that directly reflects our customers”.
The yearly list is one of two decided upon and distributed by DiversityInc to recognize those companies who have shown a commitment to diversity. One list is made up of the top 25 companies and the second list is out the top 50. Over the past eight years, Chrysler Group has found a place on one of the two lists.
Qualifying for the list is no easy task. “Earning a spot on the lists proves that management is paying close attention to the needs of their primary constituents — employees, customers and other key stakeholders,” said Luke Visconti, DiversityInc founder and CEO. “Companies with great reputations attract the best and most skilled employees who then create and deliver the best products and services.”
Decided by a 200-question survey, the competition has grown fierce over time. This year alone, there were over one thousand companies who submitted the questionnaire. The purpose of the survey is to evaluate four keys areas (CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications, and Supplier Diversity) that serve as evidence of the company’s dedication to diversity.
Everyone here at Warsaw CDJR will continue to promote our Chrysler family’s commitment to diversity and we hope that the community will feel the positive waves of the campaign as well. After all, the wider range of different people involved in such a cool campaign can only make diversity the norm, not only in the workplace, but in other facets of our community as well.
